Sotto la pelle / beneath my skin it crawls

2024/ Sotto la pelle is a zine based on a very personal experience that has indelibly marked the perception of my body, for better or for worse. As a high-risk patient affected by a congenital heart disease, I had an S-IDC (subcutaneous defibrillator) implanted into my left side. This device has evolved in time: from a foreign host, hated and unwanted, to part of my essence, of my way of moving and perceiving myself, until it has been absorbed into my daily life.
